SWFL health care firm seeks patent for AI-powered program

HealthLynked Corp., a Naples-based nationwide health care network that uses cloud-based software to connect doctors, patients and medical data, has filed for a patent for its artificial intelligence program. 

The program is called ARI, or Augmented Real-time Interface. It combines “technology and human touch,” according to a statement, in order to ensure “patients receive timely and relevant health care advice.” 

The AI-powered tool is multilingual, the company says, with a customizable avatar feature where patients can choose the gender, ethnicity and appearance of their ARI avatar. Another feature is interactive profiles, where patients, the company says, “can converse with ARI as if they are speaking to a nurse or doctor, making the data input process more intuitive and engaging.”
