A new master-planned community boasting 582 single-family homes is now in development.
The community, Vistera of Venice, takes up 300 acres and is located east of Interstate 75. Neal Land & Neighborhoods, a Lakewood Ranch-based developer, announced the mixed-use project earlier this month. The first of two phases, featuring homes that start in the high $400,000s, is expected to be completed this summer.
“I love the city of Venice. It’s a family-friendly city full of culture, history and great shopping and dining,” John Neal, president of Neal Land & Neighborhoods, says in a release. “We’ve thoughtfully designed Vistera to be a community that connects its residents to all the elements that make Venice a wonderful place to live and play.”
The entire community is expected to be developed fully by the end of 2024. It will include a fitness center, a game room and lounge, a pool, a hammock park, free community bikes and an event lawn.
“We’re expecting that the majority of home buyers will be older adults, both professionals and retirees,” Neal predicts, “but we also foresee young professionals and families who will be attracted to the community’s central location and offerings.”
