A new grocery store in Bradenton is hoping to sprout 100 workers at a hiring fair ahead of its opening in June.

The Sprouts Farmers Market’s new location at 1149 Cortez Road W. is expected to open June 30, according to a statement.

The Arizona-based grocery store is currently hiring for 100 team member and leadership roles within the front end, bakery, bulk, deli, grocery, meat/seafood, produce and vitamin departments, the statement adds.

The job fair on Wednesday, May 17, will take place at 8-11:30 a.m. and again at 1-6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Sarasota-Bradenton Airport. It’s being held in partnership with Snagajob, an online marketplace for hourly work.

The Sprouts hiring team will be in attendance for walk-in interviews. A representative confirmed the company will be hiring onsite.

There are 39 Sprouts locations in Florida with one in Sarasota, several in the Tampa Bay area and a location in Naples. A Fort Myers location is expected to open July 21, according to the company website. The publicly-traded company reported $6.4 billion in revenue in 2022.
