Community bank names Sarasota market president

Seacoast Banking Corp. of Florida. has named area banking veteran Mike Moschella market president for the Sarasota region.

Moschella will lead the commercial banking team as well as business development efforts for both Sarasota and Manatee county markets in this position, according to a statement. Moschella has worked in the Sarasota and Manatee county markets for over 20 years, 

“Mike has devoted his career to building relationships with commercial business owners in the Southwest Florida community,” Chris Rolle, executive vice president and group president, says in the release. “His influence in the community will reinforce Seacoast Bank’s reputation as a major player in the commercial lending space. His depth of knowledge and expertise in structuring commercial and commercial real estate loans are critical to the Bank’s strategic growth initiatives in these dynamic markets.” 

Moschella, most recently, held a similar position with Hancock Whitney Bank. The release states that Moschella has been active in the community through various roles with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County Foundation, Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation, Manatee County Chamber of Commerce and United Way.

Stuart-based Seacoast Bank is the corporation’s banking subsidiary. It had $12.14 billion in total assets at the end of 2022, according to Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. data.
