There’s a new partner in town, at least for Sweet Sparkman Architecture and Interiors.

The architecture, planning and interiors firm in Sarasota recently announced Karl Bernhard received a promotion to partner after being with the firm for over seven years. He’ll lead a team of architects in his new role.

“This is really a testament to our culture,” firm co-founder Todd Sweet says in a statement. “We’re committed to our employee’s growth and development, and Karl has been a significant contributor to our team.”

Bernhard, who has been in the architecture industry for over 17 years, has been the lead architect on a number of projects including the Beirut Peacekeepers Memorial in Port Charlotte, SOAR Learning Center in Sarasota, Sarasota County Regional Fire Training Academy, Sarasota County Fire Station 8, Venice Fire Station 1 and the Venice City Hall renovation and expansion.

“Karl is uniquely qualified to join our leadership team as our firm continues to realize unprecedented growth,” says Jerry Sparkman in the release.
