A national restaurant broker is expanding into Sarasota after signing a franchise agreement with two local entrepreneurs.

The decision to open a We Sell Restaurants franchise in Sarasota came after Michael and Abby Spizzirri planned to open a restaurant in the Key West area, according to a statement. Once they discovered the broker, the plan changed.

“We have already fallen in love with the Sarasota area and chose to open We Sell Restaurants because it will play an integral role in helping local restaurants and drive the economy,” Abby Spizzirri says in the press release. “There are many lovely local restaurants in the area and we want to make sure when owners are ready to sell or an aspiring restaurant owner wants to live the American dream and buy, we’re able to provide a service that can help with the transaction.”

The company was originally founded by Robin and Eric Gagnon who built a specialized brokerage around selling only restaurants. We Sell Restaurants operates in 45 states with a more than $220 million online listing inventory. Each franchise partner is a certified restaurant broker, according to the release, who are able to advise on the restaurant buying process.

“Having Michael and Abby Spizzirri join the We Sell Restaurants network continues our growth momentum as we look to further expand throughout the country to meet rising industry demand for restaurant brokerage and resources,” Robin Gagnon says. “We continue to attract entrepreneurs, like Michael and Abby Spizzirri, who are passionate by the idea of helping others realize the American dream of restaurant ownership, who love people, want to support their communities and create a great lifestyle for themselves and their families.”

Looking ahead, the company is planning to expand to 90 franchise partners in 107 territories by 2030.
