A couple from Illinois, with experience in the grocery and retail marketing industry and hospitality, has acquired Conric PR + Marketing, one of the leading digital marketing agencies in Fort Myers. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
The husband-and-wife entrepreneur team, Nicole and Lucas Goucher, under the name CR Luminosity, began the transition to ownership of the firm Dec. 15, according to a statement. The agency will maintain its brand, name and staff, the release adds.
Founded by Connie Ramos-Williams in 2007, Conric PR + Marketing has grown from a two-person operation to a full-service agency providing strategy, branding, digital marketing, public relations, advertising and website development to over 150 businesses and national brands across 35 states, the release states. The firm works with clients in financial, legal, education, medical, government, nonprofit, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, real estate, association and salon and spa.
“After 15 years in business, the timing seemed right to pass the torch to a dynamic husband-and-wife entrepreneurial marketing team who are well positioned to continue Conric's expansion plans,” says Ramos-Williams in the statement. “This was not a decision made lightly, but one that will allow Conric to grow beyond my wildest dreams and provide me the opportunity to focus on family and community.”
Nicole Goucher, who will be president and CEO, spent 15 years in marketing and corporate roles with Aldi, according to her LinkedIn profile. Louis Goucher, now CFO of the firm, was a co-owner of Illinois Crafted Hospitality, a “boutique hospitality located in the western suburbs of Chicago, LinkedIn.”
The Gouchers, according to the statement, will “partner with Conric COO Marin Asher on daily operations and focus on high-level company initiatives to further the company’s growth.”
“Nicole and I are very excited about this great opportunity,” Louis Goucher wrote on a LinkedIn post about the deal. “The Conric team has built a solid foundation and we are very excited to be continuing the journey.”
CONRIC staff will retain their current positions. “I am excited to work with some of the most talented and creative people in the industry,” Nicole Goucher says in the release.
