Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has opened Serengeti Flyer, a swing-type thrill ride that propels guests to a height of 135 feet at a maximum speed of 68 mph.

According to a news release, however, the attraction is unique in that riders can adjust its intensity level, allowing them to experience a “milder or wilder experience,” as they see fit. The ride’s two gondolas can accommodate a total of 40 guests, seated back-to-back in rows of 10.

Guests will also experience multiple “negative G” moments as they escape the force of gravity, the release states.

Busch Gardens says in a statement that Serengeti Flyer is the world's tallest and fastest ride of its kind and provides riders with panoramic views of the park's expansive 65-acre Serengeti Plain area.

"Thrills are in full swing at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay with yet another exciting, record-setting ride for our guests to enjoy," Busch Gardens Tampa Bay President Neal Thurman states in the release. "As the world's tallest and fastest ride of its kind, Serengeti Flyer joins a world-class portfolio of attractions, offering breathtaking views of the park and a one-of-a-kind experience for all our guests."
