The University of South Florida has signed a deal with Breeze Airways that will see the low-cost domestic airline sponsor its men’s and women’s athletics program.
According to a news release, the agreement includes an investment in the USF Stampede for Women program, which supports female athletes via scholarships and career development opportunities. Breeze Airways will have a presence at various USF athletic events as well as on digital and audio platforms.
“Breeze is always looking for opportunities to partner with universities and stakeholders in the communities we serve,” Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey states in the release. “USF is an important member of the Tampa Bay community, and we are passionate about working together to support and promote women’s athletics programs.”
Headquartered in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Breeze Airways was founded in 2021 and operates more than 120 nonstop routes throughout the United States. Its inaugural flight took off from Tampa International Airport, destined for Charleston, South Carolina.
