A Fort Lauderdale construction company has been picked as the general contractor for a major residential tower coming to downtown Tampa.
The company, Moss Construction, will take the lead role in the building of One Tampa, a 42-story condominium about a block from Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and city’s Riverwalk.
Kolter Urban, the developer behind the project, says in a statement that it chose Moss because of its “robust experience delivering high quality developments,” including the completion of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota.
Among Moss’ other projects are Cora Water Street Tampa, JW Marriott Clearwater Beach, St. Regis Resort and Residences Longboat Key and Auberge Beach Residences & Spa in Fort Lauderdale.
One Tampa, which is scheduled to be completed in late 2026, will include 225 residences and 5,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
The building will include one-, two- and three-bedroom units from 1,100 to 4,000 square feet. The top three floors will include two story units and four penthouses. All the units, the company says, will come with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and windows, as well as private balconies, with views of the city and Tampa Bay.
Palm Beach-based Kolter has several luxury projects underway along the Gulf Coast including a recently announced 24-story, 86-unit condominium tower in Estero’s West Bay Club community.
