The Tampa Downtown Partnership is looking for workers to help people find their way around — and to keep Tampa beautiful — all while outdoors.

If you "don't mind the toasty temperatures that can come with it, the Tampa Downtown Partnership may have just the job you're looking for," the organization states in a Thursday news release.

The partnership will hold two job fairs on Saturday and Tuesday, seeking 12 people to be "downtown ambassadors." The full-time and part-time roles will serve as "walking concierges and goodwill representatives, playing a key role in making Downtown Tampa welcoming and memorable," the partnership says.

"Our Downtown Ambassadors do it all — from connecting with local businesses and giving people directions to tidying up our streets by clearing out litter," says Shaun Drinkard, interim president of the Tampa Downtown Partnership. "They're here to make sure downtown is cleaner, safer, and friendlier for everyone who works, lives, or visits here."

The job fairs will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at 1415 N. Ashley St., Tampa.

Pay starts at $15 per hour. Part-time and full-time jobs are available. A full job description is available at the Tampa Downtown Partnership's website. Full-time employees will receive a benefits package with paid time off and 401(k), partnership officials say.
