Pizza franchise to debut in region with east Manatee location

A Gainesville pizza franchise is to debut in east Manatee County on Monday. 

The new location of Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza is on the northeast corner of State Road 70 E. and Lorraine Road. 

The 3,600-square-foot space features indoor and outdoor seating with a menu complete with stone-fired pizza, calzones, pasta and other Italian staples. 

The restaurant, founded in 2009 by a group of five restaurant owners, has 12 establishments in the state, all of them in central and north-central Florida, according to its website.
