A new restaurant inspired by New Orleans and the jazz culture of the Roaring '20s is scheduled to open its doors May 20 in downtown Tampa.
The Dan, according to a news release, will be part of the Floridan Palace Hotel at 905 Florida Ave., and it takes the place of the former Sapphire Lounge. The developer is 1754 Properties, an institutional owner, operator and financier of hotel and multifamily properties in Mexico and the United States.
The eatery’s menu, the release states, will include lobster mac and cheese, pompano almondine and creole bread pudding, in addition to raw oysters, steaks and freshly caught local seafood. It will also offer an historically inspired cocktail program highlighted by drinks such as White Tie, Hollywoodland, Bourbon Street Blues and classics, such as the Old Fashioned, Negroni, espresso martini and Sazerac.
"Our team is working hard to create an environment unlike any other, and we’re excited to share it with Tampa Bay locals and hotel guests alike,” Floridan Palace Hotel General Manager Crystal Rivera states in the release.
The Dan has been designed by FoBT Hospitality, a restaurant consulting firm based in New York City. It will serve dinner seven days a week, weekday lunch and Sunday brunch.
