Neal Communities has had a busy start to the year with, 279 homes already sold in the first quarter.

The Lakewood Ranch-based homebuilder closed 77 sales in January, 101 in February and another 101 in March, according to a press release.

“Relative to our revised expectations for selling season, March turned out very well for us,” says Carlos Puente, vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement. “Many folks who were on the fence late in 2022, due to rates, jumped back in when the rates started to improve in late February and early March.”

The homebuilder ended the fiscal year 2022 with just over $600 million in sales. The year prior, sales hit $603 million.

“The year is off to a strong start,” Pat Neal, founder and president, says. “With the continued migration to Florida from other states, we expect to see steady sales growth continue throughout the year.”

Neal Communities, which recently sold home No. 20,000 home, is active in Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Sarasota, Venice, Port Charlotte, Fort Myers and Naples. Its latest community, Wildleaf, is in North River Ranch in Palmetto, with an estimated 378 units.
