Target is opening a new store in Pasco County, but it is unclear when.

The Grove at Wesley Chapel announced Tuesday that the Minneapolis chain would open a 148,000-square-foot store on its property but did not disclose whether the opening was imminent or years from now.

In a follow up email, a spokesperson for the development directed a question about the timeline to the chain. “We do not have a date when the Target will open. You can reach out to Target's team.”

A spokesperson for the retailer did not respond to an email.

When the store does open in the near, or possibly distant, future, it will be located on a 16-acre plot south of Cost Plus World Market at the southeast corner of the intersection of Oakley Boulevard and Pink Flamingo Lane.

The Grove is a 250-acre shopping center in Pasco. Its current tenant roster includes Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michaels, PetSmart, TJ Maxx and Ulta. There is also a container park on the property with retail shops and restaurants.

This will be Target's second store in Wesley Chapel.
