College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving has hired Marc Richard in the role of senior vice president of operations.

According to a news release, Richard comes to the Tampa-based logistics company from Smoothie King, where he was vice president of franchise operations; in that role, he and his team supported more than 200 franchisees and 450 Smoothie King locations.

“I have a great respect and appreciation for franchisees and the dedication that is required to deliver an outstanding experience for their customers, guests and clients on a daily basis,” Richard states in the release. “Seeing the rapid expansion that College HUNKS has had in the past few years and knowing the impact that they are having on both their franchisees and the community is what drew me to the HUNKS organization.”

Richard’s background, the release states, also includes a stint with Domino’s Pizza, where he held several leadership roles during his tenure there, including corporate operations director and franchise operations director. In the latter role, he worked with 185 franchisees and nearly 1,100 units that generated close to $1 billion in annual retail sales.

“Marc’s experience guiding franchising teams to success made him an ideal match for College HUNKS,” Brand President Roman Cowan states in the release. “He brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the organization, and his leadership will be a key part of the organization’s mission to move the world.”
