DataLink Software, a Tampa software company that serves the health care industry, has hired Ashish Kachru as its new CEO. He succeeds Kevin Steele, who founded DataLink in 2001 and remained with the firm after it was sold to Revelstoke Capital Partners.
According to a news release, Kachru founded and served as president and CEO of Altruista Health, a management platform for health care plans, in 2007 and then exited in 2020 when he sold the business to HealthEdge, a Blackstone portfolio company. During his tenure, he expanded the company’s footprint into 43 states and raised more than $400 million in equity and debt financing.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Ashish to the DataLink team,” states Russell Cassella, managing partner at Revelstoke Capital Partners, in the release. “With his exceptional track record of leading and building innovative software solutions to improve patient care, we believe Ashish will lead DataLink to further expand its market share and continue delivering the data-driven insights that are the hallmark of value-based care.”
Following his retirement, Steele, the release states, will remain active with DataLink as a member of the board of directors.
"The entire DataLink Board and organization are grateful to Kevin for his contributions as founder and CEO of DataLink and for building a truly differentiated business over the last 20 years," Cassella states in the release.
