Pinellas County clothing maker names new divisional president

Catherine Donlan succeeds Peter Benstock at Seminole-based Superior Uniform Group.

Superior Group of Companies Inc. (NASDAQ: SGC) has named Catherine Donlan president of Superior Uniform Group’s health care division, which makes clothing for nurses, doctors and other medical-sector roles. She succeeds Peter Benstock, who will move into a strategic advisory role for the remainder of the year before retiring in 2023.

Donlan, according to a news release, has nearly 25 years of experience in the apparel and footwear industry, working with prominent brands including Converse, Puma and Reebok. Most recently, she worked for Innocor, a $430 million company, as general manager and senior vice president of retail.

At Seminole-based Superior Uniform Group, the release states, Donlan will report directly to SGC CEO Michael Benstock.

"Catherine's leadership experience includes executing winning sales strategies, marketing, product development and product launches. We look forward to welcoming her to our team and, together, taking our health care division to the next level of growth and profitability."

Donlan, in the release, states, “I could not be more excited to join Superior Uniform Group. I look forward to being part of this dynamic leadership team and building on the incredible foundation that has been created. I am passionate about the opportunity to together drive the next phase of innovation and strategic growth.”

SGC’s gross annual revenue grew from $526.7 million in 2020 to $536.99 million in 2021, an increase of 1.9%.
