CLEARWATER — AmeriLife Group LLC, a fast-growing developer, marketer and distributor of life and health insurance, as well as annuities and retirement planning services, has acquired Bachmeier, Gudis and Associates, which does business as BGA Insurance Group.
According to a news release, BGA distributes a “deep portfolio” of Medicare, life insurance and retirement planning solutions. It will continue to operate as a standalone organization at its Philadelphia headquarters and be led by co-founders Joe Bachmeier and Greg Gudis.
Other terms of the deal, including acquisition cost, were not disclosed in the release.
"In life and in business, you attain certain milestones, and BGA has had its share along the way,” Bachmeier states in the release. “Today, I can proudly say that we’ve reached a pinnacle with our partnership with AmeriLife, a giant in the industry whose trust and confidence in our firm is validation that we’ve been doing right all along. I look forward to the years to come and to generating unlimited success with our new partners."
The BGA deal is the latest in a string of acquisitions for Clearwater-based AmeriLife. In 2020, it acquired American Benefits Exchange, Senior Market Advisors and Palm Harbor-based Senior Healthcare Direct, in addition to taking a majority ownership stake in Green Bay, Wisconsin-based Jack Schroeder and Associates LLC, an insurance marketing company.
"Partnering with AmeriLife was an absolute no-brainer," Gudis states in the release. "AmeriLife’s mission closely aligns with our own. This partnership will allow us to continue successfully delivering old-fashioned, personalized service to our clients, while harnessing the power of technology and back-office support that AmeriLife brings."
