SARASOTA — Anna Maria Island recently recorded the highest-priced sale in its history — an estate sold for $16.5 million.
The Gulf-front property is at 100 Beach Ave. with 110 feet of beach frontage. The five-bedroom home on the property has 7,500 square feet of living space and features five-and-a-half baths. Additionally, it’s framed by walls of glass that provide for unobstructed Gulf views. A one-bedroom guesthouse is attached to the home as well.
The estate was listed by Charles Buky, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. Lisa Rooks Morris with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s downtown Sarasota office brought the buyer.
“This one-of-a-kind beachfront estate appealed to the discerning buyer who desired a private retreat in a tranquil island community near Sarasota’s countless cultural offerings,” she says in a news release. “The significant sale price demonstrates the strength of the market and increased demand for waterfront real estate along Florida’s Gulf Coast.”
While the pool and gourmet island kitchen are fun added touches, the estate proves to be ideal for auto enthusiasts, the release states, with the seven car garages.
