SARASOTA — Benderson Development has bought a mixed-used center on Siesta Key.

The Manatee County-based developer paid $1.8 million for the 9,458-square-foot center at 5214 Ocean Blvd. The property is .31 acres.

Benderson’s plans for the property are “currently undetermined.”

For now, the property includes a 2,141-square-foot restaurant space which is occupied by Bonjour French Café as well as two retail spaces, four vacant apartments and 16 parking spaces.

Jag Grewal, a partner at Ian Black Real Estate, which brokered the deal, says in a statement announcing the buy that “there are few opportunities to purchase commercial real estate in Siesta Key Village such as this one, which is in an excellent location and has high visibility.”

Benderson was founded in 1949 in Buffalo and now has a portfolio of more than 800 properties totaling over 45 million square feet in 40 states.
