Civil litigation defense firm adds partner at Tampa office

Charles Reynolds has joined the Tampa office of Tyson & Mendes LLP, a national law firm that specializes in civil litigation defense, as a partner.

According to a news release, Reynolds brings more than 30 years of legal industry experience to his role. Most recently, he served as senior counsel at Trenam Law in Tampa, where he practiced in the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution group.

Prior to joining Trenam, the release states, Reynolds spent 25 years as partner and department chair for casualty and liability litigation at insurance defense firm Butler Weihmuller Katz Craig LLP. 

“Charles brings decades of trial experience in Florida, and he has a particular focus in vital practice areas for our clients in the state,” Tyson & Mendes Strategic Managing Partner Robert Tyson states in the release. “He is an excellent addition to our Florida team, and we are excited to have a trial lawyer with his expertise and background join us in Tampa.” 

Reynolds, the release states, is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving as an officer and judge advocate. His experience also includes a stint as assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Founded in 2002, Tyson & Mendes operates in 18 states and has 16 satellite offices.
