Sally Seymour, a former interim CEO at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital and COO at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, has been named CEO of HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital, formerly known as St. Petersburg General Hospital.

According to a news release, Seymour brings more than 20 years of health care experience to her new role at the full-service, 215-bed hospital. Prior to joining the HCA hospital system, she worked for pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. in San Francisco and Tampa.

In 2013, the release states, Seymour was selected to participate in the HCA Healthcare Executive Development Program and joined HCA Florida Largo Hospital as associate COO.

“Sally’s focus on providing quality, compassionate patient care across multiple campuses and product lines has prepared her well for successfully leading St. Petersburg General Hospital,” HCA Healthcare West Florida Division Chief Administrative Officer Tim Burroughs states in the release. “We look forward to her joining the Pinellas market as we focus on expanding and enhancing our women’s services, surgical oncology and community engagement offerings.”
