With sales and production on the rise, Sarasota-based startup Omeza needed a few extra hands prompting the addition of five team members.

With more than 13 years of experience, Nick Lapiana was named a key account manager. In the role, he’s responsible for product sales in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Richard Davis is the new director of quality management, bringing in 30 years of experience within quality and operations executive roles. He’ll serve as the company’s quality management representative to ensure the Omeza Quality Management system is compliant with regulations and standards.

Omeza’s new production manager is Helen Frassmann. In her role, Frassmann will oversee production, regulation compliance and ensure the current good manufacturing practices (cGMP)  standards of production are upheld. Frassmann’s career stretches over 20 years of quality and production experience.

Lawanna Peterson, a new quality technician, will work in the startup’s research and development department with Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Suzanne Bakewell. The startup also hired Maria Jaeger as the accounting manager.

Omeza is a skin health and tissue regeneration company dedicated to equitable access to better wound care outcomes for all patients at all sites of care, reducing the rate of non-traumatic lower extremity amputations, hospitalizations due to skin infections and recurrence of chronic leg and foot wounds.
