CLEARWATER — OriginClear, a Clearwater-based company that specializes in modular water-treatment systems, has hired Andrea d’Agostini to serve as president and chief strategic officer.
D’Agostini, according to a news release, comes to OriginClear from American Power And Gas, which he helped grow into a $300 million, 200-employee multinational company focused on switching customers from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.
“I am delighted that Andrea is joining us,” OriginClear CEO Riggs Eckelberry states in the release. “I have watched him for more than seven years as he helped build a fast-expanding international company in renewable energy sales, and when he completed the assignment, we were thrilled to recruit him. Andrea is a dynamic individual with an army of resources behind him. We welcome Andrea d’Agostini to the OriginClear team.”
Founded in 2007, OriginClear specializes in the development of “waterpreneurs” — people who lease the firm’s equipment, which runs the gamut from pool-cleaning devices to machines that can treat water for entire trailer parks, and then sell its services. In November, it launched a subsidiary, Water on Demand, that’s promoting water as a high-yield asset class for investors.
“When I learned what OriginClear has developed — literally a new way for qualified investors to finance water projects the world over — I was instantly on board,” d’Agostini states in the release. “I have found the concept powerful and easy to communicate to my network, and I am confident we can accomplish real change in water here in North America, and eventually the world. I believe this may be what I’ve been working toward throughout my career.”
OriginClear (OTC: OCLN) reported $4.1 million in gross revenue in 2020, up from $3.59 million in 2019 — an increase of 12.4%.
