BRADENTON — A 123-room hotel in the area recently named a new general manager.
Beth Muzik joins the Compass by Margaritaville hotel on Anna Maria Sound after working in a leadership role in the industry for more than 25 years. Compass by Margaritaville is a six-story hotel that opened in 2020.
Recently, Muzik converted two existing full-service resort hotels to the Margaritaville portfolio, according to the press release. Prior to that, she joined Driftwood Hospitality Management in 2012 as the corporate director of food and beverage.
“I’m thrilled to be working with another beautiful Margaritaville concept in such a gorgeous setting,” she says. “The property has been so well-received since its launch, and I’m looking forward to further contributing to its success.”
The roughly $28 million hotel, developed by Sarasota-based Floridays Development Co. and managed by Hostmark Hospitality Group, is the latest Margaritaville lodging concept. This first Compass by Margaritaville hotel is a smaller version of the large hotels and resorts also offered by Margaritaville, the Jimmy Buffett-inspired company with restaurants, hotels, casinos and resorts.
