Tampa Bay Watch, a nonprofit that aims to restore and protect the bay's habitats and overall health, has hired Cindy Reichard as its new controller.
Reichard, according to a news release, will be responsible for managing the organization’s accounting and financial functions. She has been charged with developing an enhanced accounting department.
Prior to joining Tampa Bay Watch, Reichard served as director of finance and administration at WMNF 88.5 FM, a nonprofit, volunteer-powered community radio station in Tampa.
“Cindy is very well known in the nonprofit sector, and we are excited to welcome her to the team,” Tampa Bay Watch CEO Dwayne Virgint states in the release. “We believe she will provide great value to our growing organization with her broad experience and expertise after a decades-long history of working for local nonprofit organizations.”
Reichard’s nonprofit leadership experience, the release states, also includes stints with Hospice of Citrus County and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of such an amazing organization,” she states in the release, “and I am excited to use my skill set and years of experience working with nonprofits to capitalize on Tampa Bay Watch’s successes after nearly 30 years of commitment to restoring the bay. I look forward to the adventures and success that await us.”
