A prominent national charter school advocate and the president of a Southwest Florida chain of Ace hardware stores are among the local leaders appointed to the Florida Gulf Coast University board of trustees.
Subject to confirmation from the Florida Senate, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the appointments. The selected trustees include:
Erika Donalds: A Naples resident, Donalds is the CEO of Optima Ed. She was previously elected to the Collier County School Board, and was a commissioner on the Constitution Revision Commission. Donalds is also a certified public accountant and a chartered global management accountant, who was a CFO and COO of a New York investment firm.
Luis Rivera: A resident of North Fort Myers, Rivera is a Shareholder at law firm GrayRobinson, P.A. He is one of only thirteen attorneys in Florida who is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law and Consumer Bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification.
Peter Sulick: A Naples resident, Sulick is chairman, president, and CEO of Dynasil Corporation of America. He is also president and CEO of AmeriSite LLC. Sulick currently serves on the Citadel Baker School of Business Advisory Board. He is also on the Executive Committee Board of The Citadel Foundation, the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation, and is the President of the Kane Lodge Foundation.
Michael Wynn: Wynn, of Naples, is President of Sunshine Ace Hardware. He is currently the Director of Moorings Park Institute and the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation Board. He’s also the second Vice Chair for the Naples Community Hospital Board of Directors. Wynn was a Business Observer Top Entrepreneur in 2020.
