The HGTV Ultimate House Hunt 2021 selected a local real estate listing as a winner.
Sarasota-based realtor Barbara Sassen May of Michael Saunders and Co. represented the listing, on Lido Key. The month-long online promotion was held on HGTV.com and showcased a number of real estate listings.
The promotion garnered over 1.5 million votes that determined the winners among 66 finalists spread across eight categories, which included:
The Michael Saunders and Co. listing received the most votes in the Waterside Homes category. The British West Indies-designed home, built in 2013, is in Sarasota, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico off Lido Shores. The house, according to a statement, features private beach access, two master suites, a gourmet kitchen, an outdoor kitchen and dining area, and a separate guest wing. The waterfront access includes a private dock, boat lift and double jet ski lift.
“I am honored and delighted that my listing was chosen from luxurious homes around our nation,” says Sassen May in the statement. “It’s great to see that home enthusiasts around our country recognized the splendor of this truly spectacular home. It truly is paradise.”
The 5,566-square-feet home was purchased in July for $7.7 million.
