A new state-of-the-art cancer center has opened its doors in Manatee County.

The Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month. The new center is designed to provide advanced and personalized treatments and services for patients with various forms of cancers and blood disorders, according to a statement.

The center is located off of Manatee Avenue in Bradenton and replaces two existing FCS locations there. The new clinic features 18 exam rooms, 50 infusion chairs and onsite imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services. Patients also will have access to care management and clinical trial research opportunities.

The goal of the new centerm is to provide patients world-class care close to home, according to CEO Nathan Walcker and COO Jason Coe in the release. Patients will be in the hands of oncologists Dr. Brian Berry, Dr. Koteshwar Telukuntla and Dr. Ana Van Der Wall.

“My colleagues and I and our entire team are dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and their caregivers,” Berry says in the press release, “and to ensure that each of them can achieve the very best outcome.”
