SARASOTA — The newest addition to senior leadership at Banyan Pediatric Care Center doesn’t come without her fair share of experience.
Banyan recently announced Michelle Flynn as the center's new COO. She brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in health care and government to the new position. The centers are designed for children up to 21 years old with medical conditions that require ongoing specialized care.
The experienced health care administrator will report directly to Banyan's president Jason Moxley as she oversees the operations of all three Banyan locations, according to a statement. Flynn also will work with the leadership team as the company prepares to expand into other states. Currently, the nurse-staffed day care centers are located in St. Petersburg, Sarasota and New Port Richey.
Flynn most recently helped develop a care management program at Fortify Children’s Health in Virginia as the director of care management. She’s also a licensed clinician and certified case manager.
“We are thrilled to have Michelle Flynn join us as a critical member of our leadership team,” says Moxley in the press release. “Her energy, experience, and qualifications as a leader and a clinician make Michelle an instant asset and powerhouse in our organization. We look forward to working strategically with her to continue to grow Banyan’s footprint and serve more children and their families.”
