ST. PETE BEACH — The hot real estate market just keeps getting hotter.

The latest beneficiaries are the owners of a 4,900-square-foot beachfront home in the Pass-a-Grille neighborhood which sold for $8.2 million — after just a day on the market. The couple paid $5.2 million for the house in 2019.

The home, at 2701 Sunset Way, was built in 2007 and features a spiral staircase circling a glass and bronze elevator, custom ceiling with a mother of pearl design and a 40-foot balcony with an unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico.

And if that isn’t enough: There’s a Chihuly glass sculpture worth $250,000 in the entry.

Coldwell Banker Realty, which announced the sale in a press release and represented the seller, says Donna Miller, a global luxury specialist, was the agent.

Coldwell Banker says in an email that this was the “highest-priced sale on St. Pete Beach for a residential home.” The realtor says that the previous record, according to MLS, was the $5.39 million sale of a home on Pass a Grille Way in 2017.

“We’ve seen a number of record breaking luxury sales throughout the state over the past year,” a spokeswoman says in an email.
