Senior living community adds executives to team

The executives contribute healthcare industry experience to the nonprofit

SARASOTA — Sunnyside Village, a senior living community in Sarasota, recently hired two executives to fill key positions. The hirings include: 

  • Sean McClory was hired as the director of human resources. He has human resources and payroll experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Christopher Whitby is the new CFO Whitby is an experienced healthcare financial executive in the not-for-profit healthcare industry. 

“I am truly appreciative of the opportunity that J. David and the Sunnyside community have allowed me to be a part of,” McClory says in a press release. “I look forward to developing my relationship with everyone here at Sunnyside with its strong culture of excellence and service among the staff and the residents.”

Sunnyside Village is a nonprofit that has been operating since 1968. It provides independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing. 

“One of my missions in life is to use my skills in accounting and finance to improve the quality of life for individuals,” says Whitby in the release. “In the past, that has mostly been in pediatrics. Sunnyside has allowed me a broadened opportunity. That alignment with my own personal mission is a great fit with the serving culture of Sunnyside, its staff and residents.”
