SARASOTA — Linda Poteat-Brown was recently promoted to vice president of human resources at Easterseals Happiness House.
Poteat-Brown has been the director of the department since 2016, leading employee operations as well as various departments during her tenure at the agency, according to a press release.
“Since her first day, Linda has served as an exemplary leader, putting our mission of service and inclusion first,” President and CEO Tom Waters says in the release. “The promotion was an obvious next step after she helped lead our agency successfully navigate the uncharted course the pandemic presented, continuing to serve the needs of both our staff and our clients.”
Poteat-Brown serves on the board of directors of Embracing Our Differences. She came to Easterseals from Atlanta, where she served the human resources department at Morehouse School of Medicine for 14 years.
In her new position, Poteat-Brown will be responsible for key strategies designed to accommodate the agency’s continued growth and objectives, the release states.
Easterseals Happiness House provides therapies and services for individuals with disabilities and their families by empowering them to live their lives to the fullest.
