Holland & Knight names a pair of Tampa partners

Patrick Duffey and Anthony Palermo bolster Private Wealth Services and Litigation practices in the region.

TAMPA — Holland & Knight LLP has named two Tampa attorneys to be partners in the prestigious law firm.

Patrick Duffey and Anthony Palermo were among 37 lawyers in 15 cities — including Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami and West Palm Beach in Florida —to be named partners, says Holland & Knight Managing Partner Steven Sonberg in a statement.

The partnerships all became effective at the beginning of this month.

Duffey is a member of the firm’s Private Wealth Services Group and focuses on corporate tax, estate planning and fiduciary matters for health net-worth families. He attended the New York University School of Law and also the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Palermo works in the firm’s Litigation Section, representing clients in “complex commercial disputes, government investigations, enforcement actions and administrative proceedings, arbitrations and state and federal court litigation.”

He also advises clients on regulatory compliance issues, employment and corporate governance with a focus on consumer protection and financial services laws and regulations. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Harvard Law School.

In all, Holland & Knight maintains 27 offices globally and has more than 1,400 lawyers and other professionals.

In Tampa, where the firm was founded in 1889, Holland & Knight operates out of 100 N. Tampa St.
