Regions Bank has tapped a veteran consumer banking professional to lead its efforts in Pinellas County.
As market executive, Tina Gilmore-Johnson will oversee the bank’s operations in St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the surrounding community, the bank says. She will also work to execute in delivering Regions360, the bank’s “comprehensive approach to meeting consumers’ needs.”
Gilmore-Johnson has been with Regions for the past seven years, working as a consumer banking manager guiding 15 area branch teams. In all, she has 31 years of branch banking experience
“Tina is deeply embedded in the community and understands how we can build on our mission to make life better for the people and the places we serve,” says John Turner, Regions’ president and CEO, in the statement.
“In addition to shaping how our local branch teams make banking easier for our customers, her three decades of community involvement have made a clear impact on others while setting a great example for our teams to follow.”
In her new role, Gilmore-Johnson will also work with bank colleagues and community members to identify opportunities for Regions’ community engagement, including financial wellness, education and workforce readiness.
“At Regions, we believe it’s important to offer the highest level of customers service,” Gilmore-Johnson says, in a statement. “That means having needs-based conversations to listen closely to customers to help them identify and achieve their financial goals.”
Gilmore-Johnson began her banking career in 1991 as a teller at First Florida Bank and later worked as a branch manager and area manager for SunTrust Bank.
In all, Regions Financial Corp. has roughly $145 billion in assets and Regions Bank operates some 1,400 branches and 2,000 automated teller machines.
