Allegiant announces new route to Illinois from area airport

The new nonstop route will operate twice weekly.

SARASOTA — Allegiant has added a new nonstop route to General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport in Illinois from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport beginning May 27. 

The new nonstop route via Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport will operate twice weekly, according to a press release. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found at Allegiant.com. The company is offering one-way fares on the new route as low as $59. 

“We are excited to see that Allegiant is adding nonstop service between Peoria and the Sarasota-Bradenton area," says Sarasota Bradenton International Airport President and CEO Rick Piccolo in a statement. "We look forward to the continued growth and success of Allegiant at SRQ and the ultra-low-cost fares they provide." 

Las Vegas-based Allegiant has linked travelers in small-to-medium cities to vacation destinations since 1999.
