LSI Cos. Inc., a Fort Myers-based commercial real estate brokerage and services firm, has opened a new office in Charlotte County.

Justin Thibaut, LSI’s president, says the push into Punta Gorda follows considerable transaction and development activity in the county over the past three years.

In fact, LSI research indicates that residential permit growth in Charlotte County — buoyed by the success of the master-planned Babcock Ranch and other developments — has risen for the past 13 years.

The 1,300-square-foot office, which opened Feb. 5, is located at 122 Nesbit St. The office will be led by agent Christi Pritchett, formerly the executive director of Lee Builders Care, the nonprofit arm of the Lee Building Industry Association.

“Charlotte County is not new territory for us, we’ve been doing business there for years,” Thibaut says. “But by taking a boots-on-the-ground approach, which we pride ourselves on, we’ll be better able to serve clients in Charlotte County, along with Hendry, Desoto, Sarasota and Manatee counties.

“We think we’re bringing a unique set of skills to that market, from commercial brokerage to appraisal and beyond.”
