CAPE CORAL — Christopher Alan Homes recently reported it had more than 525 new home closings year-to-date, marking a new-record high for the production homebuilder.

The tally is 90.9% higher than 2019, when the builder had 350 home sales and 275 closings, according to a 2020 Business Observer story. The builder, according to a statement, constructs new homes priced from $290,000 to $450,000 across Southwest Florida. Its markets range from Fort Myers to North Port, and include Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Cape Coral and Lehigh Acres. Homes range in size from 1,200 to 2,500 square feet under air.

“We provide homes of the highest quality at a fair price, giving value to our homeowners,” Christopher Alan Homes President and CEO Ian Schmoyer says in the release. Our beautifully designed homes come in multiple floor plans offering year-round, indoor-outdoor living.”

Christopher Alan Homes has its origins in another company, JHS Builders, which constructed house shells. In 2017, executives said the firm’s leadership started thinking about taking the process through to the completion of a house. The leadership of JHS formed Christopher Alan Homes. Naples-based Barron Collier Cos., which has holdings in real estate, agriculture and related services, is a part-owner of Christopher Alan Homes.

The company has sales centers in Cape Coral and Port Charlotte.
