Lobbyist, city spokesperson joins area marketing and PR firm

FORT MYERS — Stephanie Schaffer, formerly the top spokesperson for the City of Fort Myers, has joined one of Southwest Florida’s most established marketing and public relations firms.

Schaffer, according to a statement, was named an associate partner at Gravina, Smith, Matte & Arnold Marketing and Public Relations. She will lead strategic communication, government relations and public outreach campaigns for clients at the Fort Myers-based firm, conducting media relations, coalition building and content creation, the release adds.

Schaffer had been the public information officer for the City of Fort Myers since 2018. She has two decades of experience in public affairs, both in state lobbying and the Washington, D.C. area. In D.C, the release states, she managed multi-state issue campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and national trade associations.

Founded in 1983, Gravina, Smith, Matte & Arnold is a full-service marketing and public relations firm that specializes in developing results-oriented initiatives across multiple industry sectors. The firm’s leadership team includes partners Tina McCain Matte, Angela Bell and Jennifer Hamilton.
