TAMPA — DataLink Software has hired health care industry veteran Todd DeWeese as a senior vice president of provider transformation, the second major hire the Tampa company has made recently to promote growth.

DeWeese brings a quarter century of healthcare industry experience to the role with DataLink, a healthcare technology company that “delivers interoperability, reduced costs, improved quality scores and risk adjustment accuracy.”

In his new job, DeWeese will lead the company’s engagement organization “to ensure optimal service delivery and customer satisfaction,” the company says in a statement. He also will head initiatives that “enable provider outreach and establish and maintain strong relationships with provider groups that leverage DataLink’s Evoke360 solution.”

“We are delighted to have such an accomplished leader join DataLink,” says Michael Schopke, the company’s chief operating officer, in a statement. “Todd brings a breadth of industry experience to the company that will be an asset as our customer base continues to grow.”

Prior to joining DataLink, DeWeese worked as vice president at OptumCare, a UnitedHealth Group company, where he was responsible for a risk and value-based product and contracting strategies for Medicare Advantage, managed Medicaid and commercial markets. He also previously was a vice president at Premier Inc., where he was responsible for leading go-to-market initiatives for the company’s performance-based services and solutions.

DeWeese becomes DataLink’s second major recent hire. Last month it brought Lynn Mettler on board as its chief technology officer. Like DeWeese, Mettler has roughly 25 years of technology-related experience, the company says, with Ingenious Med and Change Healthcare.

\Founded in 2001, DataLink promotes collaboration by multiple stakeholders across the healthcare continuum by “providing a holistic, real-time view of the entire spectrum of patient data.” The company says it reduces the cost of care, improves quality scores for providers and ensures risk adjustment accuracy while simplifying healthcare navigation.
