The Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors (FGCAR) has given out its annual Pinnacle Awards, celebrating brokers and deals despite the impact of COVID-19 on the Tampa Bay market in 2020.

Nancy Surak, senior land advisor and managing broker for Land Advisors Organization’s Tampa Bay office, won “Overall Deal of the Year,” one of three top awards she collected, together with land deal of the year and top land producer for a national firm.

Cushman & Wakefield’s John Jackson took home a pair of awards, for “Overall Top Producer” as measured by volume and as top producer of industrial transactions with a national firm.

Wendy Giffin, a Cushman & Wakefield director, also won a pair of top awards, for being the top producer with a national firm in the office and general brokerage categories. Scott Clendening of Commercial Partners Realty Inc. also received a pair of awards, for being the top producer for office and general brokerage from a regional firm.

The “Investment Deal of the Year” went to KW Commercial’s Chris Nowicki, while the “Deal of the Year — Office” was given to Erika Thompson, of the Dikman Co.

Ciminelli Real Estate Services’ Thomas Hernandez was recognized for “Most Number of Transactions” and Cushman & Wakefield’s JT Faircloth as “Rookie of the Year.”

Christopher Angelo, with Century 21 Elite Locations Inc., won the top producer award for investment deals for an agent with a national firm, while John Skicewicz with Coldwell Banker Commercial received that award in the retail category.

Regional firm brokers Deron Thomas, of Industrial Realty Solutions; John Burpee of John Burpee & Associates Inc.; J. Michael Strahan of Eshenbaugh Land Co.; and Heidi Tuttle-Beisner of Commercial Asset Partners Realty all won top honors in their respective categories.

FGCAR was formed nearly three decades ago to promote commercial real estate agents’ work in the Tampa Bay area and to provide unity and support for those in the practice regionally. The group intends to hold an awards ceremony on April 29.
