Southwest Florida is poised for a pair of new discount retail offerings, in Bonita Springs and East Naples, respectively.
In Bonita Springs, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has opened in the Springs Plaza, backfilling a former Winn-Dixie supermarket space that the grocer vacated in 2019.
The Pennsylvania-based discounter joins LA Fitness and Aldi as anchors in the 196,000-square-foot retail center, at 8951 Bonita Beach Road, which is owned by Boca Raton-based Woolbright Development Inc.
In all, Ollie’s operates 377 stores in 25 states, according to its website. The chain also operates stores along the Gulf Coast in Sarasota, Port Charlotte and Fort Myers.
In fast-growing East Naples, meanwhile, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida has begun work on a new 20,000-square-foot store in the Egret’s Crossing shopping center. Goodwill and a CVS Pharmacy will be the anchors there when the new discount store is completed next Spring.
The 7380 Davis Blvd. store will feature a covered, drive-through donation drop off point and more than 100 parking spaces.
In all, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida currently operates 25 thrift stores throughout the region, according to its website.
