TAMPA — National law firm Quarles & Brady LLP has tapped David Cellitti to lead its Tampa office as managing partner.

Cellitti, according to a press release, is a partner in the firm’s business law practice group. The promotion is effective Oct. 1.

In his new role, Cellitti will manage the firm’s day-to-day operations. He succeeds Kevin Delorey, who plans to retire Sept. 30.

"I am proud and honored to be chosen to lead the lawyers and staff of our Tampa office," Cellitti states in the release. "I congratulate Kevin on his retirement, and look forward to further advancing our Tampa office and firm initiatives. As part of Quarles & Brady's client-first mindset, our team in Tampa will continue to proactively help our clients tackle their legal challenges and be actively involved in the Tampa Bay community."

Delorey, the release states, has been with the firm since 1985.

"For more than 35 years, Kevin has been a trusted advisor to his clients, a valuable sounding board and mentor for his colleagues and a great leader in his practice group and the Tampa office," states Mike Aldana, the firm's managing partner, in the release. "On behalf of everyone at Quarles & Brady, I want to thank him for his many contributions to our success."
