TAMPA — Engel & Völkers Florida has obtained the listing of a Tampa home owned by Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson, who was the American League MVP in 2015, when he played for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Priced at $3,499,000, the waterfront property is at 4931 W. San Rafael St., in the Sunset Park neighborhood of south Tampa.
Kristin Hallamek, an advisor with Engel & Völkers Belleair, will handle the listing, according to a press release.
“The custom-built home embodies luxury coastal living,” Hallamek states in the release. “Using Engel & Völkers’ cutting-edge systems and tools, I have developed a highly customized, comprehensive and innovative marketing plan to find the right buyer.”
Donaldson, 34, was born in Pensacola. He made his Major League Baseball debut in 2010 with the Oakland Athletics and is a three-time MLB All-Star.
Donaldson’s 5,539-square-foot mansion, the release states, features five bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, home office, bonus/game room, wine cellar and a three-car finished garage. He bought the home because of its proximity to the Blue Jays’ spring training facility in Dunedin.
“Kristin is a seasoned real estate agent, Tampa Bay native and our long-time property manager,” Donaldson states in the release. “I am confident that no one knows this home, location and market better than she does. The global backing and reach of Engel & Völkers was an important contributing factor in my decision to list with Kristin, as well.”
