Bayfront Health St. Petersburg names new president, CFO, IT director.

ST. PETERSBURG — Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, in the process of being acquired by Orlando Health, has appointed a new president and CFO.

John Moore will serve as president of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and senior vice president of Orlando Health’s West Division, according to a press release. He will be joined in the hospital’s C-suite by CFO LaTasha Barnes, while Omar Gonzalez will serve as corporate director of the hospital’s IT and clinical engineering departments. 

The appointments are effective Oct. 1, when the acquisition is expected to close. 

“Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is in very good hands with John, LaTasha and Omar and we’re thrilled to have them there,” Orlando Health President and CEO David Strong states in the release. “Their experience and leadership will be invaluable as the hospital enters a new era focused on delivering the highest quality care for the community of St. Petersburg.”

Moore, the release states, has been president of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital since 2011. Barnes, meanwhile, has been with Orlando Health since 2018 and serves as CFO of Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Gonzalez joined the organization in 2019; his current role is senior manager of IT services operations.

Orlando Health is a nonprofit health care organization with $6.2 billion of assets under management.
