State’s first snow park to hire 160 as it prepares for grand opening

DADE CITY — Snowcat Ridge, which bills itself as Florida’s first-ever snow park, has set a grand opening date of Nov. 20 and seeks to fill 160 positions at the Dade City facility. 

According to a press release, Snowcat Ridge is interviewing for a wide range of full- and part-time jobs, including snow tubing attendants, skilift attendants, snow play attendants, concession staff, cashiers and shift supervisors. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. 

Located at 27839 Saint Joe Road, Snowcat Ridge, the release states, features a 60-foot-tall, 400-foot-long hill covered with real snow, as well as an alpine village and snow dome. It will operate seasonally from Nov. 20 to March 28, 2021. 

“Our team has been working very hard over the last few years to bring our alpine snow park to reality,” Snowcat Ridge CEO Benjamin Nagengast states in the release. “Snowcat Ridge will be unlike anything anyone has seen before in the Sunshine State, and we are incredibly excited to unveil our vision for the new alpine snow park today.”
