ST. PETERSBURG — Tabish Siddiquie, a 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry whose credentials include running Ritz-Carlton hotels all over the world, has been named general manager of The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club.
Siddiquie, according to a press release, will oversee operations for the 361-room resort while also serving as the property’s primary strategic business leader. He will be responsible for sales and revenue generation, marketing, guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance and the membership club.
“It’s a privilege to join the talented team at The Vinoy,” Siddiquie states in the release. “The resort has a storied history of providing top-tier hospitality to the Tampa Bay area, and I look forward to honoring its legacy while ensuring the hotel meets the demands of today’s savvy traveler and the resort’s club members.”
Siddiquie’s resume, the release states, includes stints with Ritz-Carlton resorts in Abu Dhabi, Kazakhstan, the Cayman Islands, San Francisco and Sarasota, where he was posted from 2008 to 2011. Most recently, he was posted at the Ritz-Carlton Denver, which attained its highest-ever revenue and profit under his leadership.
