Fast-growing specialty grocery chain to open new store in region

Sprouts Farmers Market’s Westchase location will welcome shoppers on Dec. 9.

TAMPA — Sprouts Farmers Market, a Phoenix-based chain of specialty grocery stores, plans to open its latest store in the Tampa Bay region in early December. 

Located at 10619 Sheldon Road in Westchase, the 30,000-square-foot market will welcome shoppers starting at 7 a.m. Dec. 9. Sprouts, in a press release, says it has hired 110 people to work at the store. 

To celebrate the grand opening of its latest Tampa Bay location, the release states, the first 200 shoppers will receive a 20% discount on their entire purchase. Customers can also enter a drawing for a $500 Sprouts gift card at the store or online

The store will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. 

Sprouts has been expanding rapidly in the Tampa Bay region. It opened a store in New Tampa Aug. 12 and also has a Tampa Heights location in the works  scheduled to open in 2021.
