Specialty grocery store chain set to expand again in region

Sprouts Farmers Market will open a store in New Tampa on Aug. 12.

TAMPA — Hot off announcing the July 15 opening of a new store in Seminole, Phoenix-based specialty grocer Sprouts Farmers Market says its New Tampa location will welcome shoppers in August. 

Located at 8620 Hunters Village Road, the 30,000-square-foot store will officially open Aug. 12, with a grand opening celebration to take place at a later date, according to a press release.

The store will employ approximately 110 people, the release states. Job applications are being accepted and a virtual hiring fair will be held on July 1 and 2 at sprouts.com/careers

Sprouts reported gross annual revenue of $5.21 billion in 2019, an 11.8% increase from $4.66 billion in 2018.
